Billionaire Boys Club and DOPE are proud to announce a collaboration celebrating the upcoming release of critical hit and Sundance Film Festival favorite “DOPE.” The collaboration, which consists of a tee, a women’s tank, and a sticker pack, will be released exclusively at the DOPE and Billionaire Boys Club flagship stores in limited quantities prior to the release of the “DOPE” film nationwide on June 19th. The “DOPE” film, which triggered one of the biggest Sundance bidding wars in recent history, puts a spotlight on both streetwear and hip-hop culture while telling a modern coming-of-age story set in Inglewood. The film also features A$AP Rocky’s acting debut and four original songs from Pharrell Williams, who served as an executive producer on the film alongside Sean “Diddy” Combs. "90’s street fashion and hip hop culture brought rise to the idea of the streetwear brand,” says Rick Famuyiwa, writer and director of “DOPE.” "The main characters in DOPE are obsessed with this history and their energy informs every aspect of their personal style and thus informed the style of the film. So it made perfect sense to collaborate with two great streetwear brands in DOPE and Billionaire Boys Club whose existence is an extension of a sub culture that found it’s voice in the 90’s.” The collection will be released at DOPE Fairfax on June 5th with a private screening of the film to follow. Customers who purchase the collection on June 5th will be entered into a raffle for exclusive tickets to the private screening that evening. On June 12th, the collection will be released at the Billionaire Boys Club flagship in New York alongside a meet-and-greet featuring members of the cast. “DOPE” releases in theaters on June 19th.
